Η οργάνωση Low Impact Fishers of Europe είναι μια οργάνωση-ομπρέλα που διοικείται από ψαράδες για ψαράδες.

Στόχος του LIFE είναι να παρέχει μια σαφή και συνεκτική φωνή σε επίπεδο ΕΕ για την προηγουμένως κυρίως σιωπηλή πλειοψηφία των Ευρωπαίων αλιέων, οι οποίοι είναι μικρότερης κλίμακας και χρησιμοποιούν αλιευτικά εργαλεία και μεθόδους χαμηλού αντίκτυπου, αλλά ιστορικά δεν είχαν ειδική και αποτελεσματική εκπροσώπηση στις Βρυξέλλες και σε επίπεδο κρατών μελών.
