La Plataforma Europea de Pescadores de Bajo Impacto (LIFE) comparte sus aportaciones sobre la reglamento por el que se establece un plan plurianual para las pesquerías de poblaciones demersales del Mediterráneo occidental (WestMed MAP) que debería ser votado por el Parlamento durante este otoño.
Los miembros de LIFE están de acuerdo en que el objetivo principal del PAM de WestMed debe ser la regulación de las actividades de arrastre. Sin embargo, consideran que es necesario abordar todos los segmentos de la flota, tanto comercial como recreativa. Las enmiendas que figuran a continuación incorporan esos segmentos de flota y abordan las cuestiones que repercutirán en las vidas y los medios de subsistencia de nuestra circunscripción, las flotas costeras de artes pasivos de pequeña escala.
