Ziel von LIFE ist es, der bisher meist schweigenden Mehrheit der europäischen Fischer auf EU-Ebene eine klare und kohärente Stimme zu geben, die in kleinerem Maßstab fischen und umweltschonende Fanggeräte und -methoden einsetzen, aber bisher keine engagierte und wirksame Vertretung in Brüssel und auf Ebene der Mitgliedstaaten hatten.
