Forum de la pêche artisanale: une opportunité pour les pêcheurs artisanaux d’échanger leurs expériences, de partager les bonnes pratiques et d’apprendre les uns des autres en mer Méditerranée et en mer Noire.

La CGPM annonce le lancement du programme du Forum SSF 2021

Low Impact Fishers of Europe (LIFE) est heureux d’annoncer le lancement du programme du Forum de la pêche artisanale (SSF) de la CGPM pour 2021, une initiative en grande partie due au travail du réseau «Friends of Small-Scale Fisheries» (Friends of SSF ou Amis de la pêche artisanale) de la GFCM.

LIFE est membre fondateur des «Amis de la pêche artisanale», un réseau régional d’acteurs partageant des intérêts et des objectifs communs pour le secteur. La plateforme vise à promouvoir la coopération transnationale et à créer des synergies entre les travaux en cours dans la région et joue un rôle essentiel dans la mise en œuvre du Plan d’action régional pour la petite pêche en mer Méditerranée et en mer Noire (RPOA-SSF).

La plateforme «Amis de la pêche artisanale» a été officiellement lancée le 26 septembre 2018 à l’occasion de la «Conférence de haut niveau sur la pêche artisanale durable en mer Méditerranée et en mer Noire» avec la signature de la plateforme.

Qu’est-ce que le Forum SSF GFCM?

Le Forum de la pêche artisanale (SSF) est une initiative de la Commission générale des pêches pour la Méditerranée et la mer Noire (CGPM). Elle a été conçue pour renforcer les capacités des petits pêcheurs et des travailleurs du secteur sur des sujets sélectionnés, pour partager leurs connaissances et pour promouvoir l’échange des meilleures pratiques dans toute la région de la Méditerranée et de la mer Noire.

La CGPM est l’Organisation régionale de gestion des pêches (ORGP) pour la Méditerranée et la mer Noire, où la pêche artisanale joue un rôle considérable dans la création de revenus et d’emplois et constitue une contribution importante à la sécurité alimentaire et aux moyens de subsistance côtiers.

En 2018, la CGPM a rédigé le RPOA-SSF auquel les ministres de la pêche de la région se sont engagés à travers une déclaration ministérielle signée en septembre 2018.

L’année dernière, l’atelier Aktea organisé à Bruxelles du 24 au 26 février par LIFE et Aktea a été l’un des premiers événements organisés dans le cadre du Forum SSF. Les objectifs du Forum SSF sont tout à fait conformes à l’objectif de LIFE de soutenir le rôle et de renforcer les capacités des petits pêcheurs en tant qu’agents de changement positif.

Le programme du Forum SSF 2021

Le programme du Forum 2021 SSF se compose de 5 cours alignés sur les principaux thèmes du RPOA-SSF:

  • Promouvoir des chaînes de valeur de la pêche artisanale fortes et innovantes (mai – juillet 2021)
  • Travail décent et protection sociale (septembre 2021)
  • Processus de gestion participative (octobre 2021)
  • Collaboration entre petits pêcheurs et scientifiques: une stratégie pour améliorer la recherche, la collecte de données et la gestion des pêches (novembre 2021)
  • Les petits pêcheurs: gardiens de notre environnement marin en mutation (décembre 2021)

Chaque cours consistera en une série d’ateliers sur des sujets choisis (pour plus d’informations, voir le programme complet ici)

En raison de la pandémie COVID-19, tous les cours du Forum SSF 2021 devraient se dérouler en ligne.

Qui devrait participer?

Le Forum SSF est conçue pour les acteurs de la pêche artisanale, en particulier les pêcheurs artisanaux, les travailleurs de la pêche et les représentants des organisations de pêche artisanale actives dans toute la région de la mer Méditerranée et de la mer Noire. Pour faciliter la participation, une interprétation sera assurée en arabe, anglais, français et espagnol. Des langues supplémentaires peuvent être ajoutées sur une base ad hoc en fonction de l’intérêt et des besoins linguistiques des participants inscrits.

Comment participer?

Les acteurs de la pêche artisanale intéressés à participer sont invités à remplir le formulaire d’inscription en ligne ici, en sélectionnant les cours auxquels vous souhaitez participer. L’inscription à chaque cours sera clôturée une semaine avant le début du cours. Des instructions spécifiques pour accéder au cours, y compris les informations de connexion, seront partagées avec les participants inscrits dans les jours précédant le début du cours.

The GFCM announces launch of 2021 SSF Forum programme.

The Low Impact Fishers of Europe (LIFE) is happy to announce the launch of the GFCM SSF University Programme for 2021, an initiative which is largely due to the work of the “Friends of Small-Scale Fisheries” (Friends of SSF) network in the GFCM.
LIFE is a founding member of the Friends of SSF, a regional network of actors sharing common interests and objectives for the sector. The platform is aimed at promoting transnational cooperation and building synergies among ongoing work in the region and plays an integral role in the implementation of the Regional Plan of Action for Small-Scale Fisheries in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea (RPOA-SSF).

The “Friends of SSF” platform was officially launched on 26 September 2018 on the occasion of the “High-level conference on sustainable small-scale fisheries in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea” with the signature of the platform.

What is the GFCM SSF Forum?

The Small-Scale Fisheries (SSF) Forum is an initiative of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean and Black Sea (GFCM). It is designed to build capacity of small-scale fishers and fish workers on selected topics, to share knowledge and to promote the exchange of best practices throughout the Mediterranean and Black Sea region.
The GFCM is the Regional Fisheries Management Organisation (RFMO) for Mediterranean and Black Sea, where small-scale fisheries play a considerable role in providing income and jobs and make an important contribution to food security and coastal livelihoods.

In 2018 the GFCM drafted the RPOA-SSF which Fisheries Ministers from the Region have committed to through a Ministerial Declaration signed in September 2018.

Last year, the Aktea Workshop organized in Brussels from 24 to 26 February by LIFE and Aktea was one of the first events organized in the framework of the SSF Forum. The objectives of the SSF Forum are very much in line with LIFE’s aim to support the role and build the capacity of small-scale fishers as agents of positive change.

The 2021 SSF Forum programme

The 2021 SSF Forum programme consists of 5 courses aligned with the main themes of the RPOA-SSF:

  • Promoting strong and innovative SSF value chains (May – July 2021)
  • Decent work and social protection (September 2021)
  • Participatory management processes (October 2021)
  • Collaboration between small-scale fishers and scientists: a strategy for enhancing research, data collection and fisheries management (November 2021)
  • Small-scale fishers: guardians of our changing marine environment (December 2021)

Each course will consist of a series of workshops on select topics (for more information see the full programme ovdje)
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, all 2021 SSF Forum courses are foreseen to be held online.

Who should participate?

The SSF Forum is designed for small-scale fisheries stakeholders, in particular small-scale fishers, fish workers and SSF organization representatives active in the sector throughout the Mediterranean and the Black Sea region. To facilitate participation, interpretation will be provided in Arabic, English, French and Spanish. Additional languages may be added on an ad hoc basis depending on the interest and language needs of registered participants.

How to participate?

SSF stakeholders interested in participating are invited to complete the online registration form ovdje, selecting the courses you wish to attend. Registration for each course will close one week prior to the start of the course. Specific instructions for accessing the course, including login details, will be shared with registered participants in the days prior to the start of the course.
