Generellt sett \u00e4r 93% av de utv\u00e4rderade fiskbest\u00e5nden \u00f6verutnyttjade. Vid seminariet, liksom vid det efterf\u00f6ljande m\u00f6tet mellan de europeiska ministrarna som h\u00f6lls i Bryssel i april, enades medlemsstaterna vid Medelhavet och GD Mare om att vidta \u00e5tg\u00e4rder f\u00f6r att l\u00f6sa situationen. Bland andra l\u00e4nder tog Spanien initiativet till en \u201cextraordin\u00e4r plan\u201d (med n\u00f6d\u00e5tg\u00e4rder) f\u00f6r fiskevattnen i Medelhavet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">LIV<\/span><\/strong> och dess medlemsorganisationer, som en r\u00f6st f\u00f6r sm\u00e5skaligt fiske i landet, v\u00e4lkomnade initiativet att ta tag i situationen och enades om en gemensam st\u00e5ndpunkt som presenterades f\u00f6r de spanska myndigheterna f\u00f6r att bidra till att denna extraordin\u00e4ra plan lyckas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lifeplatform.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/2016-07-27_Contribuciones-LIFE-PExtraMed-espanol.pdf\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\">F\u00f6r att se LIFE-bidraget, klicka p\u00e5 denna l\u00e4nk<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Den 9<sup>den<\/sup> och 10<sup>den<\/sup>\u00a0I februari 2016, i Catania, samordnade Europeiska kommissionens avdelningar med ansvar f\u00f6r fiske, bevarande och kontroll i Medelhavet och Svarta havet samt MEDAC ett h\u00f6gniv\u00e5seminarium d\u00e4r forskare presenterade en analys av tillst\u00e5ndet f\u00f6r resurserna i Medelhavet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Som kommissionsledamot Vella tydligt p\u00e5pekade var fakta obestridliga: fiskbest\u00e5nden i Medelhavet minskar, och vissa \u00e4r n\u00e4ra utfiskning.
