Inf\u00f6r intressentm\u00f6tet, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">LIV <\/span>skickade ett brev till kommission\u00e4r Vella d\u00e4r jag efterlyste en dedikerad fiskvuot f\u00f6r det storskaliga fisket:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/lifeplatform.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/LIFE-ICCAT-Bluefin-tuna-quota-letter.pdf\">F\u00e5 tillg\u00e5ng till brevet genom att klicka p\u00e5 den h\u00e4r l\u00e4nken<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Den bl\u00e5fenade tonfisken \u00e4r p\u00e5 tillbaka g\u00e5ng, kvoterna \u00f6kar, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">LIV<\/span><\/strong> kr\u00e4ver en r\u00e4ttvis andel f\u00f6r storskaliga och sm\u00e5skaliga fiskare med l\u00e5g p\u00e5verkan. En kombination av industriellt och olagligt fiske under \u00e5rtionden drev populationerna av atlantisk bl\u00e5fenad tuna till utrotningshotade niv\u00e5er p\u00e5 1990-talet. Tack vare <strong>\u00e5terh\u00e4mtningsplan som antogs av Internationella kommissionen f\u00f6r bevarande av attlantisk tonfisk (ICCAT) 2006<\/strong>, tyder p\u00e5 att den atlantska bl\u00e5fenade tonfisken nu g\u00f6r en comeback.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ICCAT \u00e4r en mellanstatlig fiskeorganisation som ansvarar f\u00f6r bevarandet av tonfisk och tonfiskliknande arter i Atlanten och Medelhavet, och best\u00e5r av 47 medlemmar. Enligt \u00e5terh\u00e4mtningsplanen fr\u00e5n 2006, som tr\u00e4dde i kraft 2007, har <strong>Totaladresserad f\u00e5ngstkvot f\u00f6r makrillstimfisk (eller: Kvoten f\u00f6r bl\u00e5fenad tonfisk) minskades drastiskt<\/strong>, minimiandelen f\u00f6r landad fisk har \u00f6kats fr\u00e5n 10 till 30 kilo, och strikta kontroller har inf\u00f6rts f\u00f6r landningen av f\u00e5ngster.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00c5r 2014 meddelade ICCAT att de totala till\u00e5tna f\u00e5ngstm\u00e4ngderna (TAC) skulle h\u00f6jas med 60% \u00f6ver tre \u00e5r (20% per \u00e5r) fram till 2017. Nyligen har dock <strong>Europeisk lagstiftning begr\u00e4nsar potentiellt f\u00f6rm\u00e5nstagarna av dessa kvot\u00f6kningar till fartyg som fiskade efter bl\u00e5fenad tonfisk mellan januari 2007 och juli 2008<\/strong>. En s\u00e5dan restriktion skulle or\u00e4ttvist diskriminera m\u00e5nga storskaliga fiskeriverksamheter som var begr\u00e4nsade eller p\u00e5 annat s\u00e4tt utest\u00e4ngda fr\u00e5n att f\u00e5nga bl\u00e5fenad tuna under denna period.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">LIV<\/span> <\/strong>uttrycker ocks\u00e5 oro \u00f6ver att det enligt spansk lagstiftning \u00e4r m\u00f6jligt att \u00f6verf\u00f6ra tonfiskkvoter mellan fartyg som bedriver tonfiskfiske, vilket banar v\u00e4g f\u00f6r <strong>privatisering av tillg\u00e5ngsr\u00e4tter till en offentlig resurs<\/strong> under ett ITQ-system.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>LIV<\/strong><\/span> skulle d\u00e4rf\u00f6r vilja se att <strong>ICCAT f\u00f6r en s\u00e4rskild, icke-\u00f6verf\u00f6rbar kvot f\u00f6r storskaligt och kustn\u00e4ra fiske med l\u00e5g p\u00e5verkan, som \u00e4r skyddad,<\/strong> att f\u00f6rdelas till sm\u00e5skaliga m\u00e5ngsidiga fartyg och sm\u00e5skaliga handlinefiske som b\u00e5da f\u00e5ngar tonfisk som m\u00e5larter och som bif\u00e5ngst.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u2666 \u2666 \u2666<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bluefin Tuna: A Fair Quota for Small Scale Low Impact Fishers &nbsp; Brussels, 18th October 2016 Brian O&#8217;Riordan LIFE staff and members will meet with DG Mare services on 19th October in a multi-stakeholder consultation ahead of the ahead of the 20th Special Meeting of ICCAT in Portugal, November 14 to 21.
