\"\"Aalborg, 4 juni 2024<\/strong> \u2013 LIFE \u00e4r entusiastiska \u00f6ver att vara en del av ett konsortium med 16 partner fr\u00e5n hela Europeiska unionen, Norge och Thailand som har samlats i \u00c5lborg, Danmark, f\u00f6r att officiellt lansera Seaglow-projektet och p\u00e5skynda fiskesektorns omst\u00e4llning till f\u00f6rnybara och koldioxidsn\u00e5la energik\u00e4llor. Initiativet, som leds av NorthDenmark EU-Office, syftar till att visa att sm\u00e5skaligt fiske, n\u00e4r r\u00e4tt kombination av tekniker anv\u00e4nds, kan minska sitt beroende av fossila br\u00e4nslen och positivt bidra till att \u00e5terst\u00e4lla marina ekosystem och f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra fiskesamh\u00e4llenas v\u00e4lbefinnande.<\/p>\n

\"\"SEAGLOW-konsortiet kommer att designa, konstruera och driva fem tekniska piloter, inklusive utbytet av konventionella dieselmotorer, p\u00e5 fyra fartyg i Danmark, Estland, Norge och Sverige. Forskare och fiskare kommer sedan att genomf\u00f6ra tester under verkliga f\u00f6rh\u00e5llanden vid verksamhet som t\u00e4cker minst tv\u00e5 fiskes\u00e4songer, vilket s\u00e4llan g\u00f6rs p\u00e5 grund av uppgiftens komplexitet.\u201cVi \u00e4r v\u00e4ldigt glada \u00f6ver att dra ig\u00e5ng detta ambiti\u00f6sa projekt<\/em>\u201d, \u2013 s\u00e4ger Hanne Bregendahl Pihl, enhetschef f\u00f6r NorthDenmark EU-Office \u2013 \u201cdet \u00e4r en unik m\u00f6jlighet att testa och demonstrera n\u00e5gra av de tillg\u00e4ngliga l\u00f6sningarna f\u00f6r den gr\u00f6na omst\u00e4llningen p\u00e5 marknaden och visa upp vilken inverkan dessa har p\u00e5 verkliga, aktiva fiskeb\u00e5tar i \u00d6stersj\u00f6n och Nordsj\u00f6n. Seaglow har f\u00e5tt mycket h\u00f6ga utv\u00e4rderingar av Europeiska kommissionen och omfattar ett konsortium med stor politisk r\u00e4ckvidd, vilket ger optimala f\u00f6ruts\u00e4ttningar f\u00f6r att ge \u00e5terkoppling p\u00e5 vad som fungerar i praktiken, vilka utmaningar fiskarna upplever n\u00e4r de engagerar sig i den gr\u00f6na omst\u00e4llningen och vad som beh\u00f6ver \u00e4ndras eller anpassas i framtida regleringar, finansieringsprogram och uppl\u00e4gg<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

LIFE kommer att vara involverat i flera projektaktiviteter, allt fr\u00e5n kommunikationsuppgifter till att ta fram policyrekommendationer. Renare energik\u00e4llor \u00e4r en h\u00f6gsta prioritet p\u00e5 den europeiska agendan, med ett indikativt m\u00e5l f\u00f6r fiskerisektorn att minska anv\u00e4ndningen av fossila br\u00e4nslen (i liter per kg landad produkt) med >15 % fr\u00e5n 2019 till 2030, med det slutgiltiga m\u00e5let att uppn\u00e5 koldioxidneutralitet senast 2050<\/a>. Tack vare Seaglow-projektet kommer det storskaliga fisket att ta stora steg fram\u00e5t n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller att \u00f6vervinna de regelm\u00e4ssiga och tekniska utmaningarna med att g\u00e5 \u00f6ver till renare energik\u00e4llor och minska beroendet av fossila br\u00e4nslen.<\/p>\n
