LIFE deltog i ett startm\u00f6te f\u00f6r att lansera Svartmunnad sm\u00f6rbult-projektet i b\u00f6rjan av februari i Lettland. Detta nya projekt leds av ett konsortium av partner med m\u00e5let att utveckla ett kommersiellt fiske efter svartmunnad sm\u00f6rbult \u2013 en invasiv art \u2013 i \u00d6stersj\u00f6n. De huvudsakliga partnerna \u00e4r vetenskapliga forskningsinstitut fr\u00e5n hela regionen, tillsammans med lokala myndigheter, fiskf\u00f6r\u00e4dlare och fiskeorganisationer som danska FSKPO, Lettiska fiskarf\u00f6rbundet, polska Darlowska-gruppen och svenska SYEF. Under projektets l\u00f6ptid kommer LIFE och dess medlemmar att delta i att utveckla fiskeredskap f\u00f6r att fiska svartmunnad sm\u00f6rbult, genomf\u00f6ra provfiske i olika delar av \u00d6stersj\u00f6n, samt arbeta med policyfr\u00e5gor tillsammans med tj\u00e4nstem\u00e4n och lokala f\u00f6retr\u00e4dare f\u00f6r att diskutera vad som kr\u00e4vs f\u00f6r att utveckla fisket. Under startm\u00f6tet hade projektpartnerna m\u00f6jlighet att tr\u00e4ffas personligen, g\u00e5 igenom projektplaneringen och l\u00e4ra sig av Lettlands erfarenhet, vilket \u00e4r det enda landet i regionen med ett kommersiellt fiske efter svartmunnad sm\u00f6rbult.<\/span><\/p>\n
