Den 15 oktober \u00e4r den internationella dagen f\u00f6r kvinnor p\u00e5 landsbygden, och den baleariska regeringen deltog i firandet genom att anordna den f\u00f6rsta dagen inom ramen f\u00f6r j\u00e4mst\u00e4lldhetsplanen f\u00f6r Balearerna (Spanien).<\/p>\n

Den prim\u00e4ra sektorn representeras av kvinnor inom jordbruk, djurh\u00e5llning, fiske och livsmedelsindustrin. Av alla delsektorer \u00e4r det, enligt statistik fr\u00e5n Balearernas regionala regering, inom fiskesektorn som kvinnorna utg\u00f6r en minoritet, med endast 2% kvinnor i b\u00e5tbes\u00e4ttningarna och 7% kvinnor som arbetar i fiskesektorns v\u00e4rdekedja.<\/p>\n

Den regionala ministern f\u00f6r jordbruk, fiske och livsmedel, Mae de la Concha, inledde konferensen med att f\u00f6rklara vikten av att st\u00e4rka kvinnors ledarskap och synlighet inom de sektorer som ing\u00e5r i prim\u00e4rsektorn. \u201cKvinnor har alltid funnits d\u00e4r, men inte som jordbruksf\u00f6retagare, som \u00e4gare eller som fullv\u00e4rdiga l\u00f6ntagare, och de finns inte heller med p\u00e5 m\u00e5nga socialf\u00f6rs\u00e4kringslistor. Ofta f\u00e5r de l\u00f6jligt l\u00e5ga pensioner efter ett helt livs arbete, inte bara p\u00e5 f\u00e4lten och till havs, utan ocks\u00e5 med att sk\u00f6ta hemmet och familjen.\u201d.<\/p>\n

Anna Masdeu Lalanza, LIFE-koordinator p\u00e5 Balearerna, deltog i det f\u00f6rsta kvinnom\u00f6tet med fokus p\u00e5 kvinnors ledarskap inom prim\u00e4rsektorn. Hon bidrog med sin syn p\u00e5 kvinnors roll inom fiskerisektorn i Medelhavsomr\u00e5det samt med sina erfarenheter som kvinna inom jordbruks-, livsmedels- och fiskerisektorn, d\u00e4r hon har tillbringat sin yrkeskarri\u00e4r.<\/p>\n

Fiskarkvinnor fr\u00e5n Ibiza och Menorca delade med sig av sina erfarenheter och betonade vikten av att kunna f\u00f6rena sina fisketider med familjelivet, samt behovet av socialt eller ekonomiskt st\u00f6d f\u00f6r att kunna forts\u00e4tta bedriva denna produktiva verksamhet som de brinner f\u00f6r och inte vill ge upp.<\/p>\n

Joan Mercant, generaldirekt\u00f6r f\u00f6r fiskerin\u00e4ringen p\u00e5 Balearerna, Domingo Bonin, ordf\u00f6rande f\u00f6r Balearernas sammanslutning av fiskarf\u00f6reningar, och Basilio Ortega, ordf\u00f6rande f\u00f6r den spanska sammanslutningen av fiskarf\u00f6reningar, var eniga om att lyfta fram kvinnornas roll inom fiskerin\u00e4ringen.<\/p>\n

Mar Mas, chef f\u00f6r det regionala ministeriet f\u00f6r jordbruk, fiske och livsmedel, presenterade Balearernas j\u00e4mst\u00e4lldhetsplan som ett verktyg f\u00f6r kooperativ, fiskarf\u00f6reningar och jordbruksorganisationer f\u00f6r att fr\u00e4mja kvinnors deltagande och n\u00e4rvaro i beslutsfattandet inom prim\u00e4rsektorn p\u00e5 Balearerna.<\/p>\n

Priserna delades ut i den andra fotot\u00e4vlingen \u201cFr\u00e5n havet och land\u201d, d\u00e4r tv\u00e5 unga fiskarkvinnor fr\u00e5n Ciudadela (Menorca) kammade hem tre priser i fiskekategorin.<\/p>\n
