\"\"Italien, mars <\/strong>4:e, 2021 \u2013<\/strong> Foodnected, ett nytt projekt som syftar till att fr\u00e4mja \u00f6verg\u00e5ngen till h\u00e5llbara and r\u00e4ttvisa matsystem i Medelhavsomr\u00e5det, kommer att lanseras den 10 mars vid ett virtuellt evenemang som en del av den internationella festivalen Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, meddelade projektpartnerna Slow Food, Global Footprint Network, Low Impact Fishers of Europe (LIFE) och GOB Menorca i dag.<\/p>\n

\u201cEfter att i flera \u00e5r ha str\u00e4vat efter att betona vikten av utbildning och \u00f6ka konsumenternas medvetenhet om v\u00e4rdet av sin mat och deras koppling till de m\u00e4nniskor som producerar den, \u00e4r vi glada \u00f6ver att f\u00e5 samarbeta med organisationer f\u00f6r h\u00e5llbart fiske och jordbruk f\u00f6r att g\u00e5 vidare mot en v\u00e4rld d\u00e4r alla akt\u00f6rer kan m\u00f6tas genom gemensamma initiativ f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra varandras liv genom en v\u00e4sentlig aspekt av vad det inneb\u00e4r att vara m\u00e4nniska: den mat vi v\u00e4ljer att konsumera f\u00f6r att inte bara n\u00e4ra v\u00e5ra kroppar, utan ocks\u00e5 v\u00e5rda v\u00e5ra sj\u00e4lar och samh\u00e4llen\u2019, sade Paula Barbeito, samordnare f\u00f6r Foodnected p\u00e5 Slow Food.<\/p>\n

Finansierat av MAVA-stiftelsen under en tv\u00e5\u00e5rsperiod handlar Foodnected om att \u201cf\u00f6rena m\u00e4nniskor och natur kring lokala, r\u00e4ttvisa och h\u00e5llbara matsystem.\u201d Dess vision \u00e4r att sammanf\u00f6ra producenter och konsumenter genom en gemenskap f\u00f6r utbyte av erfarenheter (Community of Practice) som baseras p\u00e5 gemensamma v\u00e4rderingar. Genom att f\u00f6rkorta avst\u00e5ndet mellan producenter och konsumenter och utveckla en etisk kod f\u00f6r milj\u00f6m\u00e4ssiga och sociala v\u00e4rderingar n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller hur mat produceras och konsumeras, kommer projektet att \u00e5tg\u00e4rda brister i det r\u00e5dande marknadssystemet och v\u00e4nda den ogynnsamma situation som sm\u00e5skaliga producenter st\u00e4lls inf\u00f6r.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u201cAtt f\u00e5 rimlig tillg\u00e5ng till resurser och marknader \u00e4r en grundl\u00e4ggande kamp f\u00f6r storskaliga fiskare med l\u00e5g milj\u00f6p\u00e5verkan som utg\u00f6r majoriteten av den europeiska flottan. Vi anser att det \u00e4r avg\u00f6rande att arbeta tillsammans med andra f\u00f6r att uppn\u00e5 en positiv och meningsfull f\u00f6r\u00e4ndring i v\u00e5ra livsmedelssystem. F\u00f6r att vara livskraftiga m\u00e5ste fiskare bel\u00f6nas f\u00f6r det v\u00e4rde de tillf\u00f6r genom sina goda metoder. \u00c5 andra sidan m\u00e5ste konsumenterna kunna l\u00e4tt identifiera h\u00e5llbara, h\u00e4lsosamma och r\u00e4ttvisa produkter, och k\u00e4nna till deras historia, s\u00e5 att de kan v\u00e4rdera och v\u00e4lja dem\u201d, sade LIFE:s verkst\u00e4llande sekreterare Brian O\u2019Riordan.<\/p>\n
