Een van de meest succesvolle projecten in dit verband , \"<strong>Schone Oostzee\", wordt voltooid langs de kustwateren van Polen<\/strong> met inbegrip van de Lagunes, met de betrokkenheid van meer dan 500 kleinschalige vissers.<\/p>\n<p>3 Poolse organisaties die lid zijn van LIFE, zijn bij dit grootschalige project betrokken. Het werd ontwikkeld dankzij de middelen uit het Europees Fonds voor Maritieme Zaken en Visserij die Polen ter beschikking werden gesteld in het kader van het operationeel programma \"Visserij en de Zee 2014-2020\". We zijn blij te zien dat EU-subsidies zijn gebruikt voor een universeel positief doel. <strong>de toestand van het mariene milieu waarin Poolse kleinschalige vissers actief zijn, te verbeteren<\/strong>terwijl ook andere gebruikers van de zee er baat bij hebben.<\/p>\n<p>De vissers hebben in totaal iets minder dan 147 ton afval teruggehaald. Het meeste teruggehaalde vistuig bestond uit kieuwnetten, maar ook trawlnetten, fuiken, lijnen en korven werden opgevist. De teruggegooide netten bevatten vis en andere mariene organismen, zoals vogels en mosselen, en zelfs een dode grijze zeehond. Het project <strong>was niet beperkt tot vistuig alleen<\/strong> en vissers veel andere voorwerpen mee naar buiten namen, zoals boeien, piepschuim, dozen, lijnen, banden, resten van stalen elementen, alsmede kleiner afval zoals handschoenen en plastic zakken.<\/p>\n<p>LIFE is er trots op deel uit te maken van het project, en we maken van de gelegenheid gebruik om alle betrokkenen te bedanken - de vissers en hun organisaties, de MARE-stichting (http:\/\/fundacjamare.pl) en bestuursinstanties.
