De Low Impact Fishers van de Kes\u00e4lahti Fish Base Cooperative (Finland)<\/strong>nam deel aan de Festival van Noordelijke Visserij Tradities<\/strong> georganiseerd door de Snowchange Cooperative, een netwerk dat lokale en inheemse culturen over de hele wereld ondersteunt.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Het eerste festival werd gehouden in Finland in 2014. Voor de editie van 2016 hebben Snowchange en haar partners besloten het festival te organiseren op de Lena rivier van de gemeenschap Zhigansk, Republiek Sakha-Yakutia, Siberi\u00eb (Rusland) van de 1st<\/sup> naar de 5th<\/sup>\u00a0van september. Tot de belangrijkste deelnemers aan het festival behoorden co\u00f6peraties en plaatselijke gemeenschappen uit Finland, de VS en Rusland.<\/p>\n

Activiteiten en resultaten van het festival waren onder meer:<\/b><\/p>\n

Rondes en wedstrijden in diverse traditionele vaardigheden en visserij.<\/em><\/p>\n

Oprichting van een uitwisselingsnetwerk van noordelijke traditionele visserij van Eurazi\u00eb als ruggengraat van de toekomstige werkzaamheden in de regio.<\/em><\/p>\n

Kaderovereenkomst tussen het Departement voor Biologische Hulpbronnen, Sakha-Yakutia, Rusland en Snowchange Cooperative voor de ontwikkeling van nieuwe stappen op het gebied van beheer, monitoring en traditionele kennis in de regio Zhigansk voor de gezondheid van water en vis.<\/em><\/p>\n

Besluit om in 2018 in Khanty-Mansia, Siberi\u00eb, het derde festival van noordelijke visserijtradities te houden.<\/em><\/p>\n
