In april 2026 lanceerde de Commissie een openbare raadpleging om vorm te geven aan de Europese Oceanenwet<\/a>, een belangrijk wetgevingsvoorstel in het kader van het Europese Oceaanspact dat in 2026 moet worden aangenomen. De Oceanenwet is erop gericht het oceanenbeheer in de EU te versterken en te dienen als \u00e9\u00e9n enkel referentiepunt voor alle economische, klimaat-, milieu- en sociale doelstellingen die zijn ontworpen om oceanenbronnen te beschermen en duurzaam te gebruiken.<\/p>\n
