LIFE ha partecipato a un incontro di lancio del progetto Round Goby all'inizio di febbraio, in Lettonia. Questo nuovo progetto \u00e8 guidato da un consorzio di partner con l'obiettivo di sviluppare una pesca commerciale del ghiozzo rotondo - una specie invasiva - nel Baltico. I partner principali sono istituti di ricerca scientifica di tutta la regione, insieme ad agenzie governative locali, aziende di trasformazione del pesce e organizzazioni di pescatori come la danese FSKPO, la Federazione lettone dei pescatori, il polacco Darlowska Group e lo svedese SYEF. Nel corso del progetto, LIFE e i suoi membri parteciperanno allo sviluppo di attrezzi da pesca per la pesca del ghiozzo, alla conduzione di test di pesca in diverse aree del Baltico e al lavoro politico con funzionari pubblici e locali, discutendo di ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 necessario per lo sviluppo della pesca. Durante il workshop di avvio, i partner del progetto hanno avuto l'opportunit\u00e0 di incontrarsi di persona, di esaminare la pianificazione del progetto e di imparare dall'esperienza della Lettonia, che \u00e8 l'unico Paese della regione con una pesca commerciale del ghiozzo rotondo.<\/span><\/p>\n
