Ranije ove godine EU je zatra\u017eio savjete i preporuke od dionika u vezi s upravljanjem jeguljama <\/span>nakon ICES je dao savjet<\/a> <\/span>o europskom stoku jegulje u studenom 2021., s preporukom da se ulov zaustavi.<\/div>\n

Kao odgovor na to, LIFE je zajedno s organizacijama \u010dlanicama\u00a0sudjelovao u razvoju<\/span> zajedni\u010dki stav putem Savjetodavnog vije\u0107a za Balti\u010dko more<\/a><\/span>\u00a0kao i objavljivanje na\u0161ih<\/span> vlastitu poziciju<\/a><\/span> koje detaljno mjere\u00a0na pobolj\u0161anju stanja populacije jegulje, a istovremeno odr\u017eavanju otvorenosti ribolova.<\/span><\/p>\n

Usredoto\u010dujemo se na ono \u0161to smatramo naju\u010dinkovitijim mjerama: pobolj\u0161anu provedbu propisa o jeguljama i davanje prioriteta ograni\u010denjima tamo gdje je smrtnost jegulja najve\u0107a. Nadalje, pozdravljamo mjere poduzete za borbu protiv ilegalne trgovine i ribolova jegulja koje su ve\u0107 dovele do toga da stotine milijuna staklenih jegulja nisu ulovljene od 2016. godine te poti\u010demo daljnje napore.<\/p>\n

Procjenjuje se da ribolov odraslih jegulja na moru predstavlja 3% ukupne smrtnosti, a LIFE tvrdi da postoji vi\u0161e koristi nego rizika ako se ovaj dio ribolova jegulja odr\u017ei otvorenim.<\/p>\n
