\"\"Italie, mars <\/strong>4, 2021 -<\/strong> Foodnected, un nouveau projet con\u00e7u pour promouvoir la transition vers des syst\u00e8mes alimentaires durables et \u00e9quitables dans la r\u00e9gion m\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne, sera lanc\u00e9 le 10 mars lors d'un \u00e9v\u00e9nement virtuel dans le cadre du festival international Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, ont annonc\u00e9 aujourd'hui les partenaires du projet : Slow Food, Global Footprint Network, Low Impact Fishers of Europe (LIFE) et GOB Menorca.<\/p>\n

\"Apr\u00e8s nous \u00eatre efforc\u00e9s pendant des ann\u00e9es de souligner l'importance de l'\u00e9ducation et de sensibiliser les consommateurs \u00e0 la valeur de leur nourriture et \u00e0 leur lien avec les personnes qui la produisent, nous sommes enthousiastes \u00e0 l'id\u00e9e de collaborer avec des organisations de p\u00eache et d'agriculture durables pour progresser vers un monde o\u00f9 tous les acteurs peuvent se r\u00e9unir \u00e0 travers des initiatives communes pour am\u00e9liorer la vie de chacun gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un aspect essentiel de ce que signifie \u00eatre humain : la nourriture que nous choisissons de consommer pour non seulement nourrir nos corps, mais aussi nourrir nos esprits et nos communaut\u00e9s\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Paula Barbeito, coordinatrice de Foodnected chez Slow Food.<\/p>\n

Financ\u00e9 par la Fondation MAVA sur une p\u00e9riode de deux ans, Foodnected a pour but de \"connecter les gens et la nature autour de syst\u00e8mes alimentaires locaux, \u00e9quitables et durables\". Sa vision consiste \u00e0 rapprocher les producteurs et les consommateurs par le biais d'une communaut\u00e9 de pratique fond\u00e9e sur des valeurs communes. En r\u00e9duisant la distance entre les producteurs et les consommateurs et en d\u00e9veloppant un code \u00e9thique de valeurs environnementales et sociales pour la fa\u00e7on dont les aliments sont produits et consomm\u00e9s, le projet s'attaquera aux lacunes du syst\u00e8me de march\u00e9 actuel et inversera la situation injuste \u00e0 laquelle sont confront\u00e9s les petits producteurs.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"Obtenir un acc\u00e8s \u00e9quitable aux ressources et aux march\u00e9s est une lutte fondamentale pour les petits p\u00eacheurs \u00e0 faible impact qui constituent la majorit\u00e9 de la flotte europ\u00e9enne. Nous pensons qu'il est essentiel de collaborer avec d'autres pour obtenir un changement positif et significatif dans nos syst\u00e8mes alimentaires. Pour \u00eatre viables, les p\u00eacheurs doivent \u00eatre r\u00e9compens\u00e9s pour la valeur qu'ils ajoutent gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leurs bonnes pratiques. D'autre part, les consommateurs doivent \u00eatre en mesure d'identifier facilement les produits durables, sains et \u00e9quitables, et de conna\u00eetre leur histoire, afin de pouvoir les appr\u00e9cier et les s\u00e9lectionner\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Brian O'Riordan, secr\u00e9taire ex\u00e9cutif de LIFE.<\/p>\n
