El borrador del proyecto se present\u00f3 a consulta de los miembros del Consejo Consultivo del Mar B\u00e1ltico en septiembre de 2024.<\/p>\n<p>La salud de las poblaciones de arenque es fundamental para el ecosistema del Mar B\u00e1ltico, pero se han observado tendencias negativas en todas las subdivisiones del Mar B\u00e1ltico a lo largo de la costa sueca. Entre ellas se incluyen la disminuci\u00f3n de la estructura de edades y tallas, as\u00ed como la reducci\u00f3n de la biomasa y la abundancia. Este proyecto cient\u00edfico pretende evaluar si las medidas espaciales de gesti\u00f3n pesquera podr\u00edan mejorar el estado de las poblaciones de arenque a lo largo de la costa sueca.<\/p>\n<p>En una zona de estudio propuesta en el Mar B\u00e1ltico Central se pondr\u00e1n a prueba las restricciones anuales a la pesca de poblaciones pel\u00e1gicas impuestas a los buques de la Uni\u00f3n que utilicen artes de arrastre, con una exenci\u00f3n para los buques de menos de 24 metros que pesquen peces destinados al consumo humano directo. Al tratarse de un encargo del Gobierno sueco, el proyecto se centrar\u00e1 en las pesquer\u00edas suecas, y las normas de pesca sugeridas se aplicar\u00e1n como medidas nacionales en virtud del art\u00edculo 20 del Reglamento de base.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto pretende evaluar la eficacia de las medidas espaciales de gesti\u00f3n de la pesca y, en caso de \u00e9xito, proponer c\u00f3mo dichas medidas podr\u00edan contribuir a mejorar la salud de las poblaciones de arenque en el Mar B\u00e1ltico.
