LIFE particip\u00f3 a principios de febrero en Letonia en una reuni\u00f3n de lanzamiento del proyecto \"Round Goby\". Este nuevo proyecto est\u00e1 dirigido por un consorcio de socios con el objetivo de desarrollar una pesquer\u00eda comercial de Round Goby - una especie invasora - en el B\u00e1ltico. Los principales socios son institutos de investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica de toda la regi\u00f3n, junto con agencias gubernamentales locales, procesadores de pescado y organizaciones pesqueras como la FSKPO danesa, la Federaci\u00f3n de Pescadores de Letonia, el Grupo Darlowska polaco y el SYEF sueco. A lo largo del proyecto, LIFE y sus miembros participar\u00e1n en el desarrollo de artes de pesca dirigidas al gobio redondo, realizar\u00e1n pruebas de pesca en distintas zonas del B\u00e1ltico y participar\u00e1n en labores pol\u00edticas con funcionarios p\u00fablicos y locales, debatiendo lo que es necesario para el desarrollo de la pesquer\u00eda. Durante el taller inaugural, los socios del proyecto tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerse personalmente, repasar la planificaci\u00f3n del proyecto y aprender de la experiencia de Letonia, que es el \u00fanico pa\u00eds de la regi\u00f3n con una pesquer\u00eda comercial de gobio redondo.<\/span><\/p>\n
