\"\"Italia, marzo <\/strong>4, 2021 -<\/strong> Foodnected, un nuevo proyecto dise\u00f1ado para promover la transici\u00f3n hacia sistemas alimentarios sostenibles y justos en la regi\u00f3n mediterr\u00e1nea, ser\u00e1 presentado el 10 de marzo en un evento virtual dentro del festival internacional Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, seg\u00fan han anunciado hoy los socios del proyecto: Slow Food, Global Footprint Network, Low Impact Fishers of Europe (LIFE) y GOB Menorca.<\/p>\n

\"Despu\u00e9s de esforzarnos durante a\u00f1os en subrayar la importancia de la educaci\u00f3n y en sensibilizar a los consumidores sobre el valor de sus alimentos y su conexi\u00f3n con las personas que los producen, estamos entusiasmados de colaborar con las organizaciones de pesca y agricultura sostenibles para avanzar hacia un mundo en el que todos los actores puedan unirse a trav\u00e9s de iniciativas comunes para mejorar la vida de los dem\u00e1s a trav\u00e9s de un aspecto esencial de lo que significa ser humano: los alimentos que elegimos consumir para no s\u00f3lo alimentar nuestros cuerpos, sino tambi\u00e9n nutrir nuestros esp\u00edritus y comunidades\", ha declarado Paula Barbeito, coordinadora de Foodnected en Slow Food.<\/p>\n

Financiado por la Fundaci\u00f3n MAVA durante un periodo de dos a\u00f1os, Foodnected trata de \"Conectar a las personas y la naturaleza en torno a sistemas alimentarios locales, justos y sostenibles\". Su visi\u00f3n es acercar a productores y consumidores a trav\u00e9s de una Comunidad de Pr\u00e1ctica basada en valores compartidos. Al acortar la distancia entre productores y consumidores y desarrollar un c\u00f3digo \u00e9tico de valores medioambientales y sociales para la forma de producir y consumir alimentos, el proyecto abordar\u00e1 las deficiencias del sistema de mercado imperante y revertir\u00e1 la injusta situaci\u00f3n a la que se enfrentan los peque\u00f1os productores.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"Conseguir un acceso justo a los recursos y a los mercados es una lucha fundamental para los pescadores a peque\u00f1a escala de bajo impacto que constituyen la mayor\u00eda de la flota europea. Creemos que trabajar junto a otros es esencial para lograr un cambio positivo y significativo en nuestros sistemas alimentarios. Para ser viables, los pescadores deben ser recompensados por el valor que a\u00f1aden con sus buenas pr\u00e1cticas. Por otro lado, los consumidores deben poder identificar f\u00e1cilmente los productos sostenibles, sanos y justos, y conocer su historia, para poder valorarlos y seleccionarlos\", dijo el Secretario Ejecutivo de LIFE, Brian O'Riordan.<\/p>\n
